The Bar Mitzvah (boy) will be leading this Saturday session, and it is open to all members of the temple along with their family members or close friends whom they wish to attend and watch them make this transformation from child to man. The service tends to begin with a song and a moment of meditation. Following this the Bar Mitzvah (boy) is presented with a Tallit by their parents, and as it is being given to them the Rabbi is explaining the importance and significance of this religious garb to those in attendance. After this the Bar Mitzvah (boy) begins leading the service from the bima, a raised platform with a reading desk, whilst being assisted by the Rabbi. The participant then carries the Torah from the Ark, which houses it through the congregation up to the bima following a specific path, to begin the Torah passing ceremony from one generation to another until it ends with the Bar Mitzvah (boy) as the most recent member of the family to ascend into adulthood. Next the Torah reading is divided into 4 parts, 3 people, family

Stakeholder Theory and the Nature of the Firm-myassignmenthelp
Question: Discuss about theStakeholder Theory and the Nature of the Firm for Goods. Answer: Stakeholder Theory and the Nature of the Firm The stakeholder theory in todays era is one of the most commonly used concept in business. According to this theory, this main purpose of a particular business is the creation of values for not only the shareholders, but for the stakeholders as well (Harrison Wicks, 2013). In the context of sustainable business practice, a stakeholder may be anybody ranging from a government body, investor, any political group, consumers, the employees or the trade unions. The external factors such as economy, competition, politics and customers and suppliers, and the internal factors including money, culture of the company, and staff has the potential to affect a the sustainability of a business in their own way. For example, the commitment from the higher management is one of the major factors that integrate the sustainability and the business practices as this helps in creating a business strategy around the sustainability. The paradigm change required in the transformation of business sustainability includes a significant shift right from the company leaders to the consumers as the scale of planetary crisis is enlarging. Reductions in using toxic chemicals, reduction in packaging, retooling for the efficiency of energy, taking green initiatives, recycling and conserving energy are the basic steps that must be taken by every business (Smith Offodile, 2014). The framework for supporting business sustainability has three important areas for consideration and they are fair and responsible banking, economic and social participation and sustainable growth. Death of the Salesman American Dream Research Paper Example
Death of the Salesman American Dream Paper American Dream Written by Arthur Miller and a classic play of American theatre, Death Of A Salesman is a great book about how Willy Loman, a travelling salesman who has been working for thirty-four years, strives to become a successful man in America. However, Willy interpreted successful as what he considers as the ââ¬Å"American Dreambeing ââ¬Å"well-likedâ⬠and ââ¬Å"attractiveâ⬠, which he took too seriously and in end led to his tragic death. Always clinging onto his dream, Willy has lived in his own illusions throughout his whole life. Even more unfortunate, his son Biff has been living under his shadows and ended up as failure. Having an American Dream may not be a bad motivation for life, but Willy held on to this dream as if it was everything. An example from the book is when Biff realizes that his fathersââ¬â¢ many mistakes, they both get into an argument, which is also the climax of the play. During the argument, Biff asked his father, ââ¬Å"Will you take that phony dream and burn it before something happens? This clearly shows that Willy is deeply possessed by his dream. As the play goes further on, Willy even wanted to die to show Biff that his ââ¬Å"attendance at the funeralâ⬠will show how popular he was. His belief of worth ââ¬Å"being dead than aliveâ⬠finally led to his tragic death, also leaving his family in a bad condition. Origin of the Roman Satire Genre
Origin of the Roman Satire Genre Roman literature began as an imitation of the Greek literary forms, from the epic stories of Greek heroes and tragedy to the poem known as an epigram. It was only in satire that the Romans could claim originality since the Greeks never split satire off into its own genre. Satire, as invented by the Romans, had a tendency from the beginning towards social criticism- some of it quite nasty- which we still associate with satire. But the defining characteristic of Roman satire was that it was a medley, like a modern revue. Menippean Satire The Romans produced two types of satire. Menippean satire was frequently a parody, blending prose and verse. The first use of this was the Syrian Cynic philosopher Menippus of Gadara (fl. 290 B.C.). Varro (116-27 B.C.) brought it into Latin. The Apocolocyntosis (Pumpkinification of Claudius), attributed to Seneca, a parody of the deification of the drooling emperor, is the only extant Menippean satire. We also have large segments of the Epicurean satire/novel, Satyricon, by Petronius. Verse Satire The other and more important type of satire was the verse satire. Satire unqualified by Menippean usually refers to the verse satire. It was written in dactylic hexameter meter, like epics. Its stately meter partly accounts for its relatively high place in the hierarchy of poetry quoted at the beginning. Founder of the Genre of Satire Although there were earlier Latin writers instrumental in developing the genre of satire, the official founder of this Roman genre is Lucilius, of whom we have only fragments. Horace, Persius, and Juvenal followed, leaving us many complete satires about the life, vice, and moral decay they saw around them. Antecedents of Satire Attacking the foolish, a component of ancient or modern satire, is found in Athenian Old Comedy whose sole extant representative is Aristophanes. The Romans borrowed from him and other than extant Greek writers of comedy, Cratinus, and Eupolus, according to Horace. The Latin satirists also borrowed attention-grabbing techniques from Cynic and Skeptic preachers whose extemporaneous sermons, called diatribes, could be embellished with anecdotes, character sketches, fables, obscene jokes, parodies of serious poetry, and other elements also found in Roman satire.

Peshawar Terrorists Attacks - Article Example It has always been believed that Islam does not support the acts of terrorism. However, terrorism has been seen so much to be associated with Islam across the world. However, in many cases, in as much as Islam has been associated with the on-going terror attacks in the world, it has been lenient to its followers. Rarely will you hear that Muslims attacked other Muslims? It is because of this that the Tuesday attack in Peshawar, Pakistan, is considered an extreme act of Islamism. The fact that Taliban militia had claimed responsibility, makes it be confirmed that this was a war that was executed by Muslims against Muslims. Several Islamic world leaders have come out strongly to condemn the act of terror that took place on Tuesday at Peshawar. For instance, the Nobel Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai has condemned the cold blood killing if the innocent lives of school children (Sofia & Greg, 2014). Remembering the fact that she was also a victim of shooting in Pakistan as a school student when she was shot on her way to school, she has urged that those who are opposed to Islamic militant violence ââ¬Ëwill never be defeated.ââ¬â¢ She reiterated that she was condemning such atrocious act and cowardly act and is in unity with the government and the military men of Pakistan in combating the terrorists. She also joined other millions of leaders and other people across the world to mourn the killed children, who are her brothers and sisters, as she stressed that the country will never be defeated in combating the terrorists.
